sweet miso glazed salmon

i have a tub of white miso in my fridge so i need ways to use it. i've made miso salmon twice so far and it is my new favorite way to prep salmon. v asian v yum 10/10

 

 

yields: 2 servings


- Ingredients -

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp hot water

  • 2 tbsp miso paste

  • 2 salmon fillets

- Instructions -

  1. Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, hot water, and miso paste in a bowl

  2. Cover the salmon fillets with the miso mixture and marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight

  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and brush a little vegetable oil on before laying the marinated salmon on top

  4. Broil in oven for 10 minutes, or until salmon is fully cooked through

  5. Serve with rice and roasted vegetables

- Tips -

  • Another way to cook the salmon is to bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes

  • Longer marination = more flavorful (but either way it's very yum)

  • Don't be afraid to use a lot of miso !! it tastes v good

  • Cooking time depends on size of fillet so check salmon frequently
